Under the banner of Helix, the annual technical fest of Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, PERPLEXED by PLEX (Product Led Experience) offers a rare opportunity to tackle live fintech problems, develop innovative solutions, and pitch to a panel of industry professionals. Participants will be guided through a structured case-solving process, including problem deconstruction, market and user research, solution ideation, business model development, financial feasibility analysis, and a final pitch presentation before a jury of fintech professionals. The event aims to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and applied fintech thinking by giving students a taste of what real product managers, consultants, and fintech founders deal with every day.

Rules & Regulations
1) Online Preliminary Round
Teams will need to attempt a short online quiz on unstop, for shortlisting purposes,
based on basic logical reasoning and business consulting concepts knowledge.
Shortlisted teams will proceed further for the offline rounds.
2)Problem Briefing & Research Phase
Teams receive the fintech problem statement and attend a structured briefing session.
Domain context, evaluation criteria, and available resources are shared. Teams are
encouraged to ask clarifying questions and begin their research sprint.
3) Case Solving & Development Phase
Teams work on building their solution across dimensions of product design, business
model, market strategy, and financial viability. Mentors circulate for check-ins and
provide targeted feedback to sharpen each team’s approach.
4) Final Pitch Phase
Each team delivers a timed pitch to a panel of fintech professionals and judges. Teams
are evaluated on depth of problem analysis, originality of solution, business viability,
and quality of presentation. Followed by a Q&A round with the judges.
