SUSTAINATHON

SUSTAINATHON provides students with an opportunity to engage with sustainability challenges through structured problem-solving and entrepreneurial thinking. Participants analyze the context of a real-world problem, evaluate stakeholders and market dynamics, and develop practical solutions supported by a feasible business or implementation model. The competition aims to build skills in strategic thinking, impact evaluation, and solution design while encouraging ideas that balance economic viability with long-term social and environmental impact.

Rules & Regulations

Online Preliminary Round

  • Teams will attempt a short online quiz on Unstop for shortlisting purposes.based on basic logical reasoning, basic business problem-solving and sustainability awareness

Case Briefing & Research Phase

  • Shortlisted teams will receive the case problem statement during the event. The briefing session will provide: context and background of the problem constraints and expectations evaluation criteria

Solution Development Phase

  • Teams will work on developing their proposed solution including implementation strategy and potential impact.

Final Pitch Round

  • Each team will present their solution before a panel of judges followed by a Q&A round.

SHORTLISTING CRITERIA

  • Teams will be shortlisted based on their quiz performance and demonstrated interest in solving sustainability challenges.
  • Selected teams will receive further instructions for the final rounds

GUIDELINES

  • All participants must follow the rules and code of conduct during the event.
  • Plagiarism or use of unfair means may lead to disqualification.
  • Organizers reserve the right to modify the competition structure if necessary.
  • The final decision in case of disputes rests with the organizing team.
