Buildspace is an intensive, 12-hour overnight Case Competition designed to simulate the high-pressure environment of a Series A startup launch. From 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM, teams of Architects, Strategists and Quants must bridge the gap between complex engineering and financial profitability. Buildspace requires teams to solve a technical bottleneck while simultaneously building a scalable business moat, all under a grueling overnight deadline.

Rules & Regulations

  1. Interdisciplinary Teams: Teams must consist of 3 members. A hybrid mix of Technical (Engineering) and Business (Management/Commerce) backgrounds is preferred .

  2. Overnight Protocol: All solutions and financial projections must be developed within the 12-hour competition window.

  3. The Midnight Pivot: Teams must demonstrate how they adapted their solution to the 3:00 AM surprise update. This is a primary scoring factor.

  4. Submission: The portal closes strictly at 08:00 AM. No late entries will be evaluated.

  5. The Pitch: Finalists get 7 minutes (6 mins presentation + 1 min "The Hook") to convince the Board.

Round Details

The Qualifier:

  • Online Quiz Round Before you get to the main stage, you have to prove you know the landscape. This rapid-fire round tests your awareness of global tech trends and business logic. Only the top-tier teams will proceed to the physical event.

The Overnight Grind (16 Hours Straight):

  • On the evening of April 17th, the clock starts. Teams will dive deep into complex case studies.
    1. The 6-Hour Milestone: Six hours into the night, we’ll hold a non-evaluative check-in. No judges, no scores—just a chance to bounce your wild ideas off mentors and course-correct before the sun comes up.

The Pitch:

  • Top 10 Finale After 16 hours of caffeine and strategy, only the Top 10 Teams will remain. You’ll step in front of a panel of industry veterans to defend your solution. You’ll need more than a pretty slide deck; you’ll need a bulletproof business model.
